Ankle at Initial Contact

0° (Neutral dorsiflexion)
Compensation Risk: Foot slap or premature toe strike indicating weak tibialis anterior.

Knee at Mid-Stance

15°–20° Flexion (Shock absorption)
Compensation Risk: Knee hyperextension (recurvatum) indicating weak quadriceps or spasticity.
